What prompted you to become an author?
Next to doodling in math class, writing held a special attraction for me. I have a very active imagination and writing was the perfect way to express what my mind created. That dream killer, we call 'real life', took over and I stopped writing for several years, but it was always in the back of my mind.
Then one day, a friend of mine and I began talking about writing movie scripts in our free time, and we did. Five years and lots Hollywood pitch meetings later, we decided it was time for a change.
I went back to finish up a novel I'd been tapping away at for longer than I'm willing to tell you. After I published that I kept on writing, and here we are.

What are you doing when you're not writing?
I'm kind of all over the place. I'm fitness driven and I workout several times a week. When time and budget allow I’ll grab my backpack and travel. England, Japan, China, Mexico and all over the U.S. When my wife finds something tempting enough to bribe me with, I’ll take on a home project. We remodeled our bathroom, and replaced the house plumbing. I learned a lot from that experience, mostly how much I hate tiling.

What's your full time job?
You’re looking at it. I used to be a senior systems/business analyst, which meant a lot of document writing, but nothing as creative as writing fiction.

What do you like to read?
Anything that grabs me. Not much of an answer, I know. I like paranormal, history and alternate history, fantasy, science fiction, horror, military action adventure, biographies, thrillers, humor and any blend of the above.

When did you discover zombies?
1978, Dawn of the Dead. It's pretty tame compared to the movies out now, but at the time it, my friend and I sitting in that dark theater, were freaking out. I was hooked. When I saw the 2004 remake, I wasn't prepared for 'fast' zombies. I think my mouth fell open. haha. Ving Rhames cemented his place in my heart with his first line in the movie, "Say something."

What will you be writing in the future?
I've got several stories I want to write, paranormal, fantasy, and a SciFi fantasy series I'm really excited about, but I have a few more Grave Digger stories left to tell.
